Description | "The Parmelee" is named for Miss Lucille G. Parmelee, now Mrs. Ralph Eaton Hill, for whom it was reproduced. The original was used in the home of Moses William, a pioneer in California, who was prominent in the history of that state. Mr. William's home was built in 1856 and it is an interesting historical fact that wallpaper reached California at such an early date. The original undoubtedly was made to commemorate the construction of an early English railroad. |
