| Description | The basement of an antique shop in Dover, New Hampshire, was compactly filled with a collection of three dozen old trunks. Only one trunk, the very first opened, was lined with paper. In it was found this delightful medallion of early American manufacture. The paper stock and hand-blocked print indicate its origin as about 1830. |
