| Description | In 1790 Captain Eli Brown built a handsome Georgian home in Amherst, New Hampshire, with bricks made on his own grounds. This house was later bought by Nathan Lord, sixth president of Dartmouth College. One of his cruises as sea captain took Captain Brown to Bordeaux, France, where he found just the paper for his front hall. Thomas Strahan Company has now reproduced it so that later generations may also enjoy this beautiful document. |
