| Description | A well preserved bonnet box was decorated with this gracious design. It was found in a small Woodbury, Connecticut antique shop. The lace-like festoon and laurel wreath reveal the origin of the arresting pattern. It dates back to the Late Empire Period when patterns frequently simulated textile details with the Napoleonic motifs. |
